L is for Love & Laughter

The two must surely go hand in hand.

But we often think about love and laughter during our happiest times. When we’re in the first throes of a relationship there’s fun, banter, laughter and light-heartedness. As life gets more serious and responsibilities get heavier, it becomes harder to laugh and love so freely.

We’re missing a trick though. These are the times we need it most. When you’re feeling down or fragile, turn to the ones you love to offer support. When you’re under the weather, switch on your favourite comedy or sitcom and laugh the pain away. ‘Laughter is the best medicine’ is such a popular phrase that there must be some truth behind the words.

For me, watching any Friends episode is a reliable antidote to any aches and pains.

What’s your cure? Can you call on love and laughter when you most need it?

To leave you with a lasting laugh, watch this clip and give yourself an instant pick-me-up:
